(16,992 posts)There's a method to the madness of that movie schedule, Classic Film Group DUers. The Washington Post's Adam Bernstein explains it all in this Style section lead story on TCM host Ben Mankiewicz and his father, Frank, grandson and son, respectively, of Citizen Kane screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz.
There's even an appropriately political touch here too, as Frank Mankiewicz was an aide to RFK and George McGovern.

(16,992 posts)TCM has shown quite a lot of the best of international cinema, including classics from Japan and Scandinavia, but I can't say I've ever noticed an Iranian film on its schedule. On this occasion it's Close Up by Abbas Kiarostami (Taste of Cherry).
