I took it to a stamp show, and the dealer who looked at it said that anything post WWII is essentially good only to use as current postage at face value, as there is no rarity to any of them.

You might want to donate them to a school, as many stamps commemorate historical events or anniversaries. As a bonus, that may encourage a student to take up collecting.

areas of collecting that make no sense at all. I always used to buy them at yard sales because I know once in a blue moon a valuable stamp can be found, but the most I've ever sold one for was a couple of hundred bucks. Right now I'm using up never used stamps from one of the collections. I guess people don't know that old, unused stamps still have the same value.

These stamps were sent to me on an envelope. I looked up the prices of one of these collection books on EBay, and it’s not worth big money. I’ll probably give it away to an enthusiast.
