Insomnia

It's after 2:30 in the morning here, and I still can't get to sleep, even though my wife and I had sex a few hours ago. When I was young, that used to put me out like a light! Now, even two shots of tequila chased by beers ain't doing it.

Maybe try a melatonin supplement before bedtime. As we get older we have more trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. Natural melatonin levels slowly drop with age. Some older adults make very small amounts of it or none at all. http://www.webmd.com/sleep-disorders/tc/melatonin-overview

relax your mind.

If you are physically restless, try doing more exercise earlier in the day. Cut way back on caffeine and stimulants. And even alcohol can ruin your ability to sleep. Do some relaxing evening stretches before bed. Supposedly taking a hot bath to heat up and then cool down your body can help.

There are relaxing herbal teas with ingredients like chamomile and kava to relax you.

have lots more sex? Do it more vigorously so that it's a very sweaty workout that gets your heart racing.

If you can manage to focus your mind long enough on one activity, do math calculations quietly in your head. Try the 9 multiplication table backwards from 9x12. It should tire your mind. If you get down to 9x1 and still awake, go forward from 9x13, 9x14, etc. until you wake up the next morning not knowing when you stopped calculating.

Until you nail down something (other than your wife) that helps put you to sleep, keep yourself preoccupied with this website, entertainment, reading or a project. No sense sitting around dwelling on why you aren't sawing logs. It will happen when it happens.

1. Melatonin
2.Legal Indica marijuana.
Both help me fall asleep more or less in a natural way.
