Letterman fans - RIP his mom Dorothy

She passed at home Tuesday, peacefully, age 95.

If you were a regular viewer you must be familiar with Mom's Indiana kitchen and her famous pies. Also the obvious affection our favorite curmudgeon had for his mom.

One of the many things I love about James Corden is his obvious affection for his parents and the mutual joy his segments engender amongst the three of them.

Dave didn't reveal many soft spots in his persona, but Dorothy was one very dear one. Even though it could look like he was making fun of her at times, his real feelings were on view.

Those segments were always so fun. Loved when he asked her to open her fridge and it was full of beer or malt liquor.

Peace

Dave's dad died in his 50's. I'm glad Dorothy had a good long life.
