Copy this illegal number - and hide it

Short video explains how encryption works with prime numbers, interesting in itself - but, shows why it is illegal to possess a certain number. You know, in much the same way that it is illegal to tear that tab off of your pillows.

Previously I'd had a video card in my computer that ignored the copy protection schemes of videotape cassettes and cheap DVD players.

Weirdly, my four head, digital audio, high-end VCR that I bought at a thrift store for ten dollars, in combination with my modern LCD big screen television, makes all my old video cassettes better than I've ever seen them. Whoever wrote the software for the TV did well.

and it doesn't allow macrovision through so you can convert those VHS to digital. Very nice.
