At the Wall, the traitors who killed Jon Snow tried to storm the room to take him again. But, the alliance that Jon made with the Wildings created new allies. A giant stormed their castle and stopped the attack by bashing one of them against the wall. So, at least Jon's body is safe.
Meanwhile, Cersei Lannister has a new defender. A giant knight came to her, but she has yet given the order to fight for her.

(56,829 posts)Young Ned and Young Benjen Stark were sparring, and then Hodor (who could talk) also had a turn in the mix. He was already big and burly at that age. Then, young Lyanna Stark came riding in.
Lyanna Stark - if you recall from season 1 - was the girl that Robert Baratheon loved, but she was kidnapped by/ran off with Rhaegar Targaryen and Robert's fury is what led to the war and the downfall of the Targaryen's.

(46,776 posts)He told Ramsey that he will always be his first born and Ramsey gave him a hug of congratulation and stabbed him to death.
Then, he got Roose's wife and the baby and fed them to the dogs.

(90,800 posts)Don't care how a Frey dies - big, little, male, female, adult or child. Any death at the hand of someone other than a Stark is too easy.
Ramsay continues to earn a creative death.
It would be supremely boring to drag out Jon Snow's return.
Piffle on the Iron Born. Though the bridge scene does suggest a partial return to the books. The importance of that particular character. (Euron)
We'll see.
Melisandre has her game face on (so to speak).

(2,273 posts)What a reward, I am dying to see the next episode and I can't wait to watch Ramsay march up to Castle Black to face a small force of Nights Watch to take back his wife. I have a feeling he will be munching on his own testicles by episode 4.

(7,820 posts)Spoilers, of course...
Omg Jon's Back!!! Ok, loved the episode just cause of that. Tyrion with the dragons. Bran and the flashback (more convinced than ever that L+R=J)
The Ironborn stuff is going to be great. Will be fascinating to see where the Arya stuff is going.
I'm a book reader, so it's kinda cool watching and for the first time not knowing where things are heading...

I am so glad that Tyrion freed the dragons. I have not been a Dynarious fan because of her chaining them.

(56,829 posts)Theon's sister is Asha, but they changed it to Yara on the show so viewers would not confuse Asha with Osha (the woman that has Rickon Stark, played by Natalie Tennant.)

(22,298 posts)From the stabbing which was filmed so you didn't know exactly which Bolton got stabbed & would have cheered either way it went to Asha Greyjoy reappearing to Lyanna Stark finally riding in on a white horse to Hodor actually having a name (Whatchoo talkin' 'bout, Wylis? HODOR) to Bran coming back to the extreme shortening of Arya's time with the House of White & Black (thank you sweet baby Jesus) to Tyrion freeing the dragon & not being burnt to a cinder to the Wildings showing up & making the bad Night Watch go "squish" to Jon Snow finally waking up.
I was doing back flips on the couch during the entire show!

(5,541 posts)We know it's not his real name now, and he was able to talk before. Did he have a brain injury? Does he do it by choice?
I wonder if we'll find out.
Also, who was that who threw that guy from the windy rope bridge?
So many epic moments in one episode.
NewJeffCT
(56,829 posts)was Balon Greyjoy - father of Theon and Yara Greyjoy, and now the late King of the Iron Islands. The thrower is Euron Greyjoy, the younger brother of Balon, also known as The Crow's Eye. Will let the show introduce him beyond that.
