The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsI simply just want to pat myself on the back.
I put this together yesterday and today made homemade biscuits and gravy. This came in a few dozen pieces not to mention the few hundred screws and bolts. Whew, I have wanted a kitchen island on wheels for a long time! Now I can make all kinds of goodies!!!

(149,611 posts)I applaud your efforts! This is one beautiful island. And the fact that you can move it where you want it is a bonus!
I hope at least two of the wheels lock...
Enjoy!

(6,080 posts)Yes the wheels lock. My next endeavor will be sweet rolls, now that I have a place to roll them out.

(24,146 posts)it's a decent size but i still somehow manage to deflect baking with "i don't have the room." way to shame me into making biscuits

(6,080 posts)And I nearly had a heart attack when I opened it and saw all the pieces. I thought for sure it was a 2 day project. But the instructions were plain and all of the pieces lined up correctly. I was done in 3 and a half hours.

(34,136 posts)May I ask where you found it? The style would go great with my kitchen and I could use a small rolling island.

(6,080 posts)The color is just a little lighter than I expected, but still goes with my cabinets.

It was worth it.

(2,302 posts)That'll be so handy. Extra storage, and the paper-towel holder on the end...I would bet no screws or bolts were left over.
