Dumb people doing dumb things

I've done some dumb things in my life usually involving power tools, electricity and ladders. However, one of the dumbest was shooting a broad-tip hunting arrow straight up into the air for God knows what reason, just to do it. Then realizing a second after it left the bow that the thing would have to come down. Now here was my road to Damascus. If I ran, would it hit me because that was what fate had planned. Should I stay with the hope that the arrow in all probability would not come exactly down to the spot where it was launched. I froze. Seconds later a thump in the ground a few feet away with the arrow buried up to its end. Then I went in and changed my pants.
