And i had the big reels, so even at 7.5 ips i could get two albums per side.
Pretty useful, because in my freshman year of college, someone broke in my parents house and stole all my albums. (Stereo, coin collection, and some other stuff too.)
But, since the tapes weren't useful to anybody who didn't have an open reel deck, they left those. So even though i lost all the originals, i still had about 80 of my favorites on tape.
Also, had a really good Onkyo cassette recorder that made excellent car tapes. Cool part was if you recorded it with Dolby on, but played it back without turning on the Dolby on the car player, the sound was much clearer and brighter.
Oh, they stole my cassettes too.

hold one of these bad boys up to the radio when a song I wanted came on and hoped like hell the DJ didn't talk over it for once. Of course that never happened.
