So I'm going speed dating tomorrow

Some of you may remember me posting about a pharmacist about a month back. I spent a few minutes chatting with her shortly before the pharmacy closed and when I asked her how long she had lived in my city, she mentioned she had moved moved from a city about an hour away to be with her boyfriend a little over a year ago.

So anyway, I found a speed dating event on Meetup. At first I thought "cool, $24 dollars to meet 12 young ladies". I just went out to the meetup site to see who else is attending, and it looks like 6 guys and 3 ladies. I hope I'm not jinxing myself, but I'm feeling a little hesitant. :\

7. Meetups are awesome.

Though I've never done one for dating.
I mostly go to some activity I enjoy, and leave it at that.

Think of this as an activity to meet new people, with no expectations beyond that.
I think you'll have more fun doing it that way.

8. I just got the results back

There were 11 girls , I said yes to 6 and no to 5. Only one girl said yes to me though, and it wasn't one of the six I was impressed with.

I'm kind of bummed. :\
