Gaming Bars-Shame they weren't around thirty years ago.

Okay, I found one thing that makes me envious of the young generation. Gaming bars. Why didn't they have them thirty years ago? Okay, I mean outside of the fact that the technology wasn't still around for the incredible gaming selection we have today.

I'm glad there's a place where nerdy twenty-something gamers of both sexes can meet on their own terms. Incredible variety of beers, cosplay and costume competition and the kids either walk in wearing incredibly casual clothing, or elaborate costumes.

Hope it picks up in popularity because it looked like good clean fun.

Way too much athletic prowess required in pong tables to hit the cerebral platitudes of today's gaming player. Not to mention that the tables take up too much room and requires a great deal of lighting, negating the benefits of low-lighting for the painfully shy.

Too much lighting. And video games seem to attract a much different clientele than those that are attracted to pool halls or foosball parlors.

I was thinking about one of my kids, actually. Definitely big into gaming, but not the first one on the dance floor, so to speak.

and the beer selection looks awesome but man, their spelling and grammar mistakes are embarrassing. More than one place they use "your" for "you're" and at least once thy said "are" instead of "our"...

I figure after enough Cigar City Cafe con Leche stouts I probably won't care though.

I didn't see anyone sneaking in liquor. The big draw was the voluminous beer menu.

Some form of that pastime still exists in the pine box derbys that continues in the Boy Scouts.
