National Baked Scallops Day Scallops are one of the most popular shellfish in the world. These meaty mollusks are low in fat and are delicious sauteed, deep fried, or baked! Baking them leaves out a lot of the butter and fat that otherwise go into cooking this lean, white seafood. Put scallops on the menu and in the oven for National Baked Scallops Day! http://www.cdkitchen.com/recipes/articles/view/2/1/National-Baked-Scallops-Day.htmlGirl Scout Birthday Day Juliette "Daisy" Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1912, for a local Girl Scout meeting. She believed that all girls should be given the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually. With the goal of bringing girls out of isolated home environments and into community service and the open air, Girl Scouts hiked, played basketball, went on camping trips, learned how to tell time by the stars, and studied first aid. http://www.girlscouts.org/who_we_are/history/
World Kidney Day Created in 2006 as a joint initiative between the International Society of Nephrology and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations, World Kidney Day is designed as a health awareness campaign. At present, the date is observed in close to 100 countries around the world.
World Kidney Day aims to raise awareness of kidney-related diseases and of the overall importance of our kidneys to our health. It also tries to highlight preventative measures, in an attempt to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and related health problems, on a global scale.
If it is detected early enough, Chronic Kidney Disease is treatable. However, CKD is becoming increasingly prevalent around the world. In addition to educating the public, World Kidney Day is designed to teach or remind medical professionals of the important role they can play in detecting problems and aims to encourage more systematic screening of patients with diabetes. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/world-kidney-day/

(17,005 posts)Yesterday I had a emergency to a new eye doctor, had the eye irrigation and I have a complete blockage, so now I know why the left eye was painful during that last cataract surgery. So I got a lot of heat treatments and see him again in 2 weeks for another eye irrigation test and I hope to pass and get through this.
Thank you for the link, very soothing.

(38,958 posts)must have been eye doctor visit day. That is where I went in the afternoon with the Mrs. which is to be followed up by more tests and visits.
My treat however, was getting to stop by Harbor Freight Tools on the way home and get some free stuff with my coupons.
Hope things improve with your current eye issues. Certainly not any fun...
