Turn the volume down fairly low. Have a hot cup of milk.

This works for me sometimes.

Wishing you a nice night's sleep. I've been where you are more times than I can count.

you might try designing an Inner Sanctuary. Corny though it may sound, it helps me a lot. It could be located by the ocean, in the woods, on a top of a mountain. Where you'd feel peaceful, protected. I like a few animals in mine and water. It could be a place you've been or imagine you'd like to go. But NO one else, or anything else can get in and invade your privacy except by your invitation. As I've used the visualization over time, my "sanctuary" has evolved with sounds and and smells, a good spring shower if I want. And it's never completed because .......Z Z z z z z z z.
Hope you're willing to give it a try. I felt goofy at first but with practice my imagination is my sleeping pill.

Trees, birds, movies, whatever ..... I rarely make it to Z.

Or I count backwards.

The TV on low volume is a must.

I have had a lot of stuff going on lately that keeps me awake, too.
