A lot of the ancient Greeks (Alexander among them) are described as golden-haired and blue-eyed in ancient literature.

Remember the Afghani girl on the National Geographic cover with the gorgeous green eyes? The gene definitely exists in those populations.

Starting with the early migrations Out of Africa to the site of more than a couple of empires and a principal European/Asian trading route. With the exception of Native Americans just about everyone congaed through the area and if they stayed over night ...

Or for the purpose of the role the actor could have been wearing tinted contact lenses.

I once knew a black girl with a cafe au lait complexion whose mom was also cafe au lait with brown eyes and whose dad was very dark skinned with almost black eyes.

The girl herself had green eyes.
