I've got nothin to add, except wondering if our favorite vamp survived.

(46,775 posts)I just expected it to grab me more than it did. Maybe on the replay I'll see the twists that I missed the first time.

(95,337 posts)It's funny because last month I started rewatching all of the seasons of True Blood. I found that for the most part I would watch the entire episodes for season #1 and season #2. Season #3 was the first time I found my self fast-forwarding thru sections. Season #3 was great with Russell Edgington but I just found the Were-Panthers and Jason's romance with Crystal (also a WP) to be annoying as hell and would fast forward. By season #4 I was skipping almost half of the stuff and season #5 maybe even less.
When they started moving the storylines away from the Vampires and Sookie, True Blood suffered. The only storyline that had any interest that didn't focus on Vampires was the Maryann the Maenad storyline from season #2.
It seems last night they are going to stay focused on the vampires so that is promising. But I hope they start having Sookie interact with Bill and/or Eric soon enough because as a couple, Sookie and Alcide they have about as much spark as a pack of matches pulled out of a puddle. It would be nice to have Eric come back and bring back the Bill/Eric/Sookie Triangle which was always the absolute best on TB. I know Alcide is this big hunky musclely guy but he never really did anything to me. I mean Eric was tall compared to Sookie but he's more streamlined muscle. Last night when Alcide and Sookie had sex it looked like Alcide was doing it with a teenager because Alcide is so huge in size compared to Sookie. It was borderline creepy to me.

And that's the end.
No Eric, that I noticed.
Short episode and leaves one wanting to see more.

(46,775 posts)"all my friends died in Vietnam" dialogue. He had a "fresh out of the suburbs" look that didn't fit the history.

(95,337 posts)I mean technically no one ever really saw Jim Morrison dead other than his wife. And I know in the books there was this character Bubba that was suppose to really be Elvis but wasn't quite turned right. So I kinda saw the Jim Morrison look in James.
But in the end they did right with James. I like this one so much better.

(12,325 posts)I hope. It was something the actress said before the show started like you never can't believe that someone is always dead.

(12,132 posts)but she was fighting that dude pretty good and it's possible the vamp goo all over crazy mama was his. Tara popped him all over her and did a lightning quick GTFO so loony moms just knows there was goo and then her girl was gone.
I don't believe anyone is dead that I didn't see die and then only half the time.

(4,851 posts)I suspect she is a spirit like godric and will be visiting Sookie, Mom, Jessica, Bill and Pam before she is really "done". He mom's statements that she saw/heard Tara were probably right.

(12,132 posts)I didn't like human Tara. Her character annoyed me. But when she became a vamp she got badass and I LOVED badass Tara.
If spirit Tara isn't a badass I'll be looking for Drs. Venkman, Stantz and Spengler.

(95,337 posts)Personally I could see her wanting to get out of there with her Maker gone and all. I suspect Tara is probably looking for Pam looking for Eric.
I just feel bad for Willow, she was basically made and then ditched. No Daddy Eric, no Sister Pam and no Niece Tara. Kinda sucks for her.

(73,631 posts)I think that Tara killed the Hep V vamp that she was fighting and then glamored Lettie Mae into thinking she's dead. She's I'm hiding now. Her death wasn't shown on screen, plus the show has always been good for hiding things.
Tara shall return.
LynneSin
(95,337 posts)Even if Pam doesn't care about Tara she still would have shown a Shiver or something that she lost a child.
I think Tara is alive and probably searching for Pam. Tara gave up on her mother ages ago but probably wasn't going to reject a clean source of blood when offered (from season #6 last episode Tara's Mom offered Tara some of her (mom's) blood).

(4,851 posts)And some say there is nothing good on TV!!!
Seriously though, the first episode was pretty good. I am sad if its true Tara died without ev3n getting to see her die on screen, which is why I do not think she is really dead. I am hoping Eric is back, but who knows. He may only come back as a Godric like spirit to Pam.
I love the Jessica character and the actress that palys her. Oh yeah, and Anna Panquin is just plain ole Sexy!
