Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsJust got back from "Maleficent". Angelina Jolie absolutely killed it as the lead IMHO.
That's all I got. The movie and effects are beautiful also, but her performance is definitely what makes it go.

It looks fantastic!

(56,829 posts)and, even the young women playing young Maleficent and teen Aurora were good, too. However, I don't think it was a great movie, overall.

(2,900 posts)Jolie nailed her part. The set dressing and costuming were as good as it gets. The King's armor in the first part is just spectacular. The story was also very good.

(23,272 posts)Besides her being a solid Dem, active in many humanitarian causes, and a big supporter of the poor, exactly what makes you hate her so much?

(23,272 posts)You know that both of them absolutely deny they got involved til Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston separated right?
I don't follow the tabloids closely but it seems as though Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were both mutually struck by lightening during a film shoot together. It takes two to tango.... they both pretty much fell in love at the exact same time.
But whatever. My interest in Hollywood shit like Brangelina has now hit maximum overload for the year.
Carry on

(21,925 posts)but there's something about her that I can't stand. I wish I could base my reaction to her a on rational reason but perhaps other people have aversions to certain personalities or styles they can't logically explain either. After seeing her in Alexander and A Mighty Heart with the terrible phoney accents I think it ruined her for me. I liked her in the Lara Croft films but not much since. I didn't like her at all in Mr. And Mrs. Smith. Maybe her performance in Maleficent when I see it will change my mind if it's that good.
