The song Stealin' first recorded by The Memphis Jug Band in the 1930's, later made famous by Jerry Garcia and David Grisman of The Grateful Dead.

Put your arms around me like a circle round the sun. I wanna love you mama like my easy rider done. You don't believe I love you, but what a fool I've been. You don't believe I'm sinking but what a hole I'm in. Stealin' Stealin' pretty mama don't you tell on me, 'cause I'm stealin' back to my same old used to be. I love that girl she's just my size and height, she's a married girl come to see me sometime. You don't believe I'm sinking but what a hole I'm in. Stealin' Stealin' pretty mama don't you tell on me, 'cause I'm stealin' back to my same old used to be. I love that girl she give's me all she's got. She always gives me honey from the sweetest pot. You don't believe I'm sinking but what a hole I'm in. Stealin' Stealin' pretty mama don't you tell on me, 'cause I'm stealin' back to my same old used to be.

The Dead version had good instrument parts, love the electric jazzy sound. Vocals not as good as Jug Band, and Dead didn't write it. So slight edge to Memphis.

Thanks.
