I must say, the movie was a decent interpretation of the 5 volume trilogy. Or was it six?

But I was disappointed in the film. Trillian is not supposed to be an American. And all the filmmakers did was essentially take a standard rom-com and wrap it in Hitch-hiker trappings.

With Trillian and Arthur Dent ending up together, it closes the door on any sequels, especially any shot at introducing Fenchurch.

I hadn't seen "Elf" at that point. I really liked her in that role. Haven't seen anything else of her work that I have disliked. Haven't watched much of "New Girl" lately, but it's got nothing to do with her.
