After losing our old friend Gizmo to kidney failure a couple of weeks ago we just didn't like being a one cat household.
so we adopted a rescue kitten.
Her name is Chloe and she is quite the kitten. Very energetic of course, curious and mischevious as she explores the house and all the adventures it has to offer.
Our dog Sandy has accepted her, and our other older cat Pumpkin is learning to accept this little bundle of energy.
She's hissed at the little one a few times, more than likely to establish dominance and let Chloe know who's been here longest, but they she's getting more and more tolerant. As for Chloe, everyone is worth trying to play with.
She's an real cuddler, loves her toys and when she purrs, which is a lot, it's surprisingly loud, but that tells us she is happy and content in her new home.
Here she is....

Sorry about your kitty. We recently lost one to the same malady. It sure hurts.

(6,011 posts)Have you let a cat have a ping-pong ball? If Sandy wouldn't eat it, that is.
I always give a ping-pong ball to kittens because they seem to love the tic-tic-tic-on-bare-floors bouncing sound, and if the kitten bats it it ricochets really well against walls and furniture legs, prolonging the game.
I just took care of my friend's pets while she was away, and the only toy her 2-year-old cat would chase was the ping-pong ball!
