(2,243 posts)Might have to fix that later this year. But, I've had a jelly candy and a drink that used real fruit for flavor and they were good.

(6,154 posts)You should have an option for I've tried it and I don't care for it. Cause that's my opinion. I don't think it's horrible. But I voted for "It was great" cause I think more people should try different things like this.
If you want a description of the flavour here is the most accurate thing I can think of:
The base flavour is that of sweet custard.
On top of this are mild hints of mango and or pear.
There is a strong layer of the flavour of a raw onion on top of this, including some of the spice!
Add a strong hint of garlic to this mix to complete the picture.
When ripe it has the strong smell of rotting fruit or meat. Trust me it tastes nothing like it smells, even if you don't like the taste.
And be careful if you are ever walking around where they are grown. Falling ripe Durians have been known to kill!

(8,217 posts)I much prefer the Jack Fruit.
Which is also green and spiky but so much larger. You get hit by one of those while it is falling, you're likely to get hurt... hurt real bad.
It is also interesting in texture, it has a firmness to it, and it tastes sweet.
