Recent developments in K-Pop.
Hi all,
I tried so hard last night to stay up for the GSL Code S Championships--and of course fell asleep in the middle of one of the most amazing comebacks in the history of Starcraft II. (Those of you interested in that can start at www.teamliquid.net .)
But that's not why I'm here. See, the Championships are not merely two nerds playing computer games against one another in a high-production value duel of geekness before a worldwide audience of hundreds of thousands or even millions.
There are eight-minute breaks between games, and that void is filled with the latest in Korean pop music. The finals are filmed in the GOM TV studios in Gangnam, Seoul, South Korea.
So as a messenger of cultural good will I present to you some of the latest Korean pop music videos. Fasten your seatbelts and pop in an extra piece of bubblegum!
Is it Hee Haw or Devo or Team Fortress 2 that got to them? Can't quite tell.
This one has a Venture-esque roll to it.
My better half is certain this young lady is a TLC fan.
Lalalalalalalalala, my name is auto-tuner!
There's a Beckistan in South Korea, too.
What? You think I'd do this without laying some PSY on you? Here you go:
Well, there you go. Have a nice day, and all your base is belong to us!
