I live just north of Minneapolis and met a friend for lunch in St Cloud which is the Michele Bachmann epi-center. It wasn't just all the Bachmann billboards, but all the other right wing hate machine signs: SOS: Stop Obama Socialism, Vote Yes for the marriage amendment, marriage = 1 man + 1 woman, Fire Klobacher, Voter ID signs....etc
Ugh I feel so dirty. I need to be bombarded by some good old fashioned liberal love!
I was happy to drive around with my "Vote NO" (against the marriage amendment) and Choose Love - Dogs Against Romney bumper stickers.

(116,003 posts)My Obama bumper sticker might make me unpopular in those parts, I guess. Here in the People's Republic of Minneapolis I've seen nothing but Obama/Ellison/Vote No on the marriage amendment signs and stickers. Stearns County is wingnut central.
I hope Bachmann is sent packing. Looks like Graves has a fighting chance.

(3,702 posts)See a giant Bachmann face looming over I-94 on a giant billboard almost made me crap myself in fear.

(33,688 posts)just north of Bryn Mawr. Nothing but Obama signs/stickers and Vote No signs. Hadn't seen a Rmoney sign or sticker until I was in a suburb of Denver last weekend.

Then again, I live two doors down from Scott Brooks the guy who ran against Frank Hornstein last time.

(417 posts)I counted 9 "Vote No" signs on the bus route home to from the Rosedale Mall. Only 2 "Vote Yes" signs, but one of them was on a church. There were fewer "No's" on the voter ID, but there are zero yes signs.
Another thing that might make you feel better, Kare11 ran a story about Bachmann's seat being in jeopardy for the first time. I'm in the 4th, but go Jim Graves!

(1,082 posts)We drove from Fargo to the Twin Cities. So glad to get back home. There is so much hatred in those signs.

(3,702 posts)which I get...its hard to do on a billboard
but never any positive messaging, just vile hatred.

(14,276 posts)You know. The ones that say things like "I had fingerprints at six weeks" and "I could fart at eight weeks"? The ones that attempt to define personhood. Are those obnoxious things still all over the place?

(3,702 posts)I usually see those on my way to visit my mom in Forest Lake (still Bachmann country - she has really jerrymandered the state)

I've noticed the Voter Suppression ("Voter ID" billboards are all over the place now like vermin in the Twin Cities, too.
