we learned the song Ach, du lieber Augustin (O du lieber Augustin). I don't think I've thought of that song in over 50 years. "Money gone, honey gone ...".
Sorry I can't help with your question. I am curious as to what our German speakers have to say.

Apparently thats as close as they can get to WTF.
My friend sent me a bunch of postcards one time, each with a common German saying. When translated word for word, they mean absolutely nothing, and some are quite funny. Some things just dont translate well.
