would a permanent solar eclipse cause global cooling?

like the shadow was noodling all over the earth on a narrow path but continuously moving all the time instead of just for a few minutes at any given location. I know there is a temp drop even for a less than full event.

On the one hand, that could be like trump’s cure for Covid, drink bleach and shine intense lights up our rear.

I like the idea, pending more thought.
