The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsWhat a time here in western NC - everything spring is blooming.
Our yard has tulips, daffodils, grape hyacinths...hellebore, bloodroot, azaleas, quince...red bud, dogwood, epimedium, lily of the valley, magnolia and forythia and lilac. On our hikes we are seeing trilliums, Oconee Bells, and trout lilies.
Summer brings other flowers - but there is just nothing like the look and smell of those first warm spring days, surrounded by so much beauty.
I am 68, and it still takes my breath away every year.
I hope that spring is springing wherever you are!

Nothing survives that requires child hours. So everything is kinda subtropicalish.
My aloe is blooming right now.
My rose bush put on some blooms a few weeks ago. My salvia bloomed in Feb.
My plumbagos froze back, so they won't bloom for awhile. So did my lantana. Lantana usually bloom in the winter, but we had a hard freeze. In May, crape myrtles will bloom. My crinums are very picky bloomers.
