Average cost of women's Final Four tickets is double the men's

What happens when you add Caitlin Clark to the Final Four?

Logitix, a company that analyses such prices, said women’s tickets have averaged more than $2,300 the past couple of days. For the men’s Final Four, that number’s about $1,000.

“The No. 1 reason women’s college basketball has gotten so popular? It’s Caitlin Clark,” said Dave Zirin, The Nation sports editor.

“It’s something I probably won’t really wrap my head around until my career is all done,” Clark said.

I'm enjoying women's basketball more than the men, and I have to admit that before last year, when I noticed that Iowa, my home state, was in the final four, I'd never watched a full quarter of women's basketball in my life, other than the Olympics.

What Caitlin and other stars like her have done for their sport is truly amazing. It'll be interesting to see if they can do the same next year for the WNBA, which has lost money since it's inception. It remains to be seen if this new generation of female athletes can even move the needle, but I sure hope they can.

It looks like she shoots almost immediately upon getting the ball. She appears to have a lot of precision in her shots.
