Andy Griffith, in an interview with Morning Exchange in 1972, talks about his role in the film, "A Face In The Crowd." He plays a character named Lonesome Rhodes, who is eerily similar to Donald Trump.

Andy Griffith totally got the implications and the danger of a guy like Lonesome Rhodes. And it fits Don and his fanclub to a T.

is too stupid to even turn away from him if they heard what he really thinks of them. After all, he could shoot somebody on 5th Ave and not lose any supporters.
