Okay, I didn't watch it, BUT--I am disgusted that, "Killers of the Flower Moon," didn't win ANYTHING!
I still need to watch John Cena and Ryan Gosling though......

At 3 hrs, 43 minutes long, they should have made a mini-series.

(6,661 posts)It should have won for something besides the song. Sorry, Billie Eilish can't sing. Her breathy, whiny, squeaky voice makes me want to run from the room. I can see why she appeals to angsty teenage girls, but she's not to my taste at all. Give me a good screaming punk any day!

(102,359 posts)something I was very heartened to see. The musical drumming/dancing segment with Native performers was very well received and its young Native star, Lily Gladstone (nominated, but did not win despite her Golden Globe) was referenced throughout. With eleven nominations, I think more will see the movie despite it not earning the Best Picture trophy, and for a 3.5-hour movie, that is a feat--in and of itself.
I saw it in the theater but likewise Oppenheimer and knew that the worldwide implications of that movie, now and in the future, and the incredible assembled cast, cinematography, and its widely respected director, Nolan made it a shoo-in for the Best Picture Oscar. Cillian Murphy was exceptional (and won as well).
So, no, I don't feel bad, though I was thrilled to see that movie made. It earned tremendous attention and that will help going forward.
