How often do you think about your first love? She comes into my head a couple of times a month.

--- been 50 years since. I sometimes wonder if she's ok? Had a good life? Thinks about me? What our lives would have been....

How about you?

We haven't spoken in 50+ years, but I see her face every time I access the local SO.Maine Internet newspaper....She's doing well as she's been in real estate most of her life.

First Love. Head over Heels. Still think of her on too many occasions. I’ve been happily married for 50 years next month to my soul mate and Best Friend. But won’t ever forget 1969.

Many, many years ago I heard Garth Brooks on the radio singing about Unanswered Prayers. I know I ended up with number one and only but the memory never dies. I did contact her online, that’s been 15+ years ago. She married had two children. I wished her well.

Freshman in college. Thought I was in love with a football player. Truly, madly, deeply. We went away for the summer. Got back together in the fall and... meh. He was nice and I think about him sometimes, but without regret or longing.

We follow each other on Facebook. I try to remember to wish him happy birthday. We talk couple of years. Neither of us ever got married, and that's okay.

Actually I do think about her a couple of times a year. Not enough to look her up though. I haven't seen my 5th grade girlfriend in almost 40 years. I still feel a little bit bad I ghosted her over summer vacation.

We dated for a little while, and she was my first kiss. But she broke up with me because I wasn’t popular in school, and didn’t wear cool-kid clothes.

I took the breakup poorly. I was an emotional train wreck for a time.

I looked her up on Facebook a few years ago. She’s divorced and dating some scuzzy-looking guy evidently twenty years older than she.

he was home from college and we dated all summer until he just stopped asking me out. It was pretty traumatic for me.

We went out one more time about 6 months later and I found out what happened the summer before; I saw him once more at his brother's wedding, then did not see each other for 40 years. We ended up in the same place and were glad to see one another.

He passed away last year.
His brother is still one of my dearest friends. When I see him, it is like we just saw each other yesterday and we are like a couple of old gossips.

Only time I think about her is when we run into each other every couple of years (long story) and usually don't even notice until I hear her call my name. Some quick pleasantries, sorry to hear about, etc. and that's it. Usually her husband isn't too far away, we never say a word to each other. Nor does she speak to my wife when on the rare chance they do run into each other. Funny story, my wife has only mentioned her once to a couple of friends of ours, she said, " yeah, I don't really trust her for some reason". These other two friends knew the history and didn't say a word, but had that awkward look on their face. And the real weird part, her father never thought much of me in the past, now, we run into each other a few times a year (again, long story) and have some deep conversations at times.

I moved on, quickly, (and went to another doomed love, but that's another story...dodged a bullet there, actually it was howitzer) and learned to realize, yes it was fun, but, those days are gone due to paths chosen. After 25+ years with my wife, we are still on the same path and still enjoy each others company and have fun.

I still remember her last name. I sat next to her, and she was the most beautiful person I had ever seen up to that point. At that time, girls wore dresses, had nicely coiffed hair, and had cute little girl jewelry. We would just smile and stare at each other. I have gone through my whole life wondering what happened to her and have done internet searches using her name and the locale where we went to school and grew up. I think about her quite often. I remember her outfit the first time we met.
