I must say, however, that in a 45+ year career in pediatrics, I did see a fair few names where the parents might have benefitted from someone advising them about what not to name their babies. IMO, if a name is very oddly spelled or the pronunciation is not obvious and always has to be explained, this can make life difficult for kids.
