Oh, and Nato Maki too.

(12,132 posts)but then a little eel would be swell...and a ninja roll. Spicy tuna can come any way the chef wants to bring it.
I'll pay extra if you can get it from Jiro.

(27,247 posts)but I have had uni paste on rice, and it is pretty good. As is the uni arare (urchin-flavored rice crackers). Apparently, I was a sea otter at some time in the past

(20,776 posts)and something that takes getting used to.. I guess kind of like the first time you had a beer. (How can adults like this? Its not sweet!!.. something I said when I was a teen trying beer for the first time.)
Art_from_Ark
(27,247 posts)Half-priced value pack of 10 pieces, for about 30 yen (40 cents) per piece. It includes maguro, minced maguro, tako, tamago, ikura, ika, ebi, and I'm not sure what else.

(20,776 posts)Looks yummy!
Art_from_Ark
(27,247 posts)The trick is to get to the store right when they're putting the half-price stickers on-- these value packs sell out quickly at that price

(34,186 posts)I cannot order sushi as a restaurant without two or three pieces of uni.

(81,608 posts)Rice on the bottom, tamago (the little orange eggs), then avocado, then crab, then maguro - that brilliant jewel-red tuna, then you compress it down, in this little rectangular box form, lift the box away, and slice it in six pieces. Serve with this creamy mayonnaise sauce and it's SHEER HEAVEN!
Or, just make me a California roll or a Rainbow roll and I'll be happy!
