1. I was watching Monday Night Football when Howard Cosell broke the news of Lennon's death.

I'm pretty sure they played "In My Life" with some pics, video of Lennon.

5. I was listening to (rock radio) WNEW-FM in NYC where I was/am and they broke the news...

then they played Lennon's music for 24 hrs but even more important opened up the phone line(?s) to let listeners share their grieving.
