Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise (is it sans the Cruise yet? Who can know?) were hit by a steaming, simmering New York City-summer pile of garbage yesterday as they were leaving Chelsea Piers after a day of more mandatory normalcy.

Says People, Katie and Suri were cruising in their Benz when a turning garbage truck sideswiped them. No one was hurt. You could say even, that the tap was jusssst enough to scare them. To rattle them up a bit and really make them re-think their life choices and chosen faiths.

Stranger still, this is the second time Katie and Suri have been hit in four days. Last Friday, a paparazzi car ran into them as they were leaving FAO Schwartz. In both incidences, witnesses reported seeing the driver of the vehicles yelling, "Xenu Xenu Xenu!" before ramming into them.

The dented Mercedes was seen last night being towed up tenth avenue, covered by an enormous old banana peel-an old gym shoe with a hole in the toe dangling from a side mirror-surrounded by chirping cartoon dizzy birds.
