i wear them proudly to this day...i have them tattooed on me with "death from below" writen underneath....

6. Fast Boats, Boomers or Both?

I was on boomers for 8 years 80-88, fast boats were not an option due to my NEC.

Almost got em tattooed too but changed my mind at the last minute (skin art is not really my thing), but my bud got them along with TDU tattooed on his ass....about a year later he also got a 'MK48' tattoo and I will let you take a guess where that one went.

7. Both.....

My first boat was a boomer....2 patrols. We were based in Scotland....gave me a taste for dark lager and haggis! LOL

The other 3 were fast boats, including a PCU/plank owner stint....best rides in the navy....small close crews, great food, great missions....I loved my time in....

Lol about the TDU and MK48.....I knew a lot of guys that came from that mold! It's got to be the O2 depleted atmosphere!

but for some reason, they kept sliding off every time I passed the seafood counter.
