I saw something really weird last night here in Tucson.

It looked like National Guardsmen on the streets around the intersection of University and Main. It was just plain weird. The cops had things blocked off, Helicopters were flying around, and I can't find any info on what it was all about. Anybody else, anywhere else ever see anything like it?

And I have been looking to find some news on what it was and there isn't any. Being Homeless is not easy as it is, but to walk strait into something like that almost gave me a heat attack!

5. I was in downtown Tucson at the bus center last Thursday when two men who I thought were police...

... walked by (there was a little kid feeding pigeons and howling at their antics and I thought they
were going to hassle him for a minute). A bicyclist asked me about some bus info and then asked
why Homeland Security officers were patrolling downtown in body armor ( I hadn't seen the front
of their uniforms nor what they might have been carrying). They didn't seem tense.

It's been a long time since I've been center-city, so I thought it might be something normal I just
was unfamiliar with -- still might be,

I wondered then -- and now -- if there hadn't been some major political figure scheduled to visit
Tucson.

6. I just did a quick search.

All I could really find was a bomb scare at a Safeway. Looks like he got away. That would explain the helicopters.

9. It is now 9/18/12 and I still can't get a answer about this.

A lot of people say they see this type of thing a lot around here though. Why hasn't anybody looked into it I wonder? It just seems really odd.
