1. R. Crumb lives in France. At least he did last I knew, he may have moved.

3. A very young Mickey had a small part in 1941 if I remember correctly.

...seriously? #9, Cleveland Indians. God bless Bill Veeck. #10, I'm almost sure, is Wagons East, one of the dumbest movies ever made. And I think #19 is The Enemy of the People, Ibsen, no less...rather strange material for Steve McQueen. OK--the smart-ass answers. #4? Knowing Mr Ellison, I rather hope it was related to sex/drugs/booze/the fact that he was a space alien. Yes, that covers a lot of territory...but if it was *all four*... Anyway. #28? Bobby Darin's birth name, of course, was Lee Harvey Oswald. (Darin was never quite the same singer after the unfortunate events of 1963.) And Tom Hanks made his film debut playing Judy Garland's kid brother in *Meet Me in St Louis*. (He's older than he looks.)

7. Well, you got # 9 right

# 10 & # 19 are incorrect.....(Hint to # 19, it was made the year following Wagon's East)

As far as # 4, the reason Harlan Ellison was expelled from Ohio State had nothing to do with sex, drugs or booze.

btw, when you say "Knowing Mr. Ellison"...did you actually know him, or was that a rhetorical statement?

Your "Knowing Mr. Ellison" could be taken two ways:
1) You did actually "know" him, or
2) You "know his work" or have read many of his stories etc.

Bracing experience"?

...and by "bracing experience", I just met that actually meeting him might have had that effect. He lived--and wrote--at a higher level than is given to us mere mortals...

15. I agree, he was a truly exceptional writer

Wikipedia has a lengthy article about him, including listing all the awards he won,
(Eight Hugo Awards)

My favorite short story of his is "Driving in the Spikes".
...but I also love "The 3 Most Important Things in Life" and "Gopher in the Gilly"

Also, if you haven't already read it, I strongly suggest that you Google:
"Frank Sinatra Has a Cold" by Gay Talese in the April 1966 issue of Esquire, which became "one of the most famous pieces of magazine journalism ever written."
You can read the entire story, which includes Sinatra's clash with Harlan Ellison.
