I just went and bought a new vape unit (aka mod) and battery charger ($80) and then went to Safeway to run in and grab cat food and something to drink, forgot to lock the car cause there's like no crime around here that I know of ... and of course came back out 10 mins later ... and my new gear was gone. hadn't even opened 'em yet. called them and they have no cameras in the their parking lot. neat.
this was in gilbert, az, same safeway I go to every week for 5+ years.

(16,820 posts)and left the keys in it. Since then I always make sure I take the keys out and lock the doors. No more thefts have occurred. It seems that wherever we go, someone is watching and waiting for us to make a mistake. They're predators, like child molesters.

I mean it's kinda bold, in broad daylight, lots of people coming in and out of the store.

thought "he's robbing that car!"? If your doors aren't locked it takes seconds and looks normal.

(38,264 posts)The oddest thing we ever had stolen from our car was a few boxes of See's candy we were going to give out as gifts. The thief broke the lock too.
They didn't take anything else.
This was in San Francisco.
Maybe they'd stolen and smoked someone's stash first...
