For Star Wars Fans...

1. I remember waiting in line many hours for the first Star Wars.

They were pushing so many people through the theater they didn't have time to properly clean up the mess between showings. The floors were sticky with spilled sodas and popcorn. The movie itself was astonishing and I can't count the times I've seen it since.

I'm pretty sure I first saw it in one of the theaters with the advanced sound systems. The sound was striking. I was studying to be a television engineer at the time. (I later changed my major to biology, partly because engineering classes were almost entirely male then. I wanted to study with women!)

The Star Wars music soundtrack was the first cassette I ever owned. I still have it stashed away somewhere.

My wife is a Star Wars fan as well.

Damn this corona virus, I'm missing going out to the movies. Typically my wife and I go to the movies once or twice a month. Alas, the last movie we saw in the theater was Call of the Wild. At least it's got Harrison Ford.
