1. How does it work on newer computers?

I still have the original CD I got with my first Windows (3.1?) computer, plus the Roman Expansion. Every so often I think about pulling it out to play.

I doubt your original game would work.

But the newer version (about $20,) works better than the old one.

I never played it as much as my husband did, but it was the only seriously commercial game I played.

There was one that I enjoyed, called "Quest for Glory: So You Want to Be A Hero" but I was terrible at it - almost as bad as I was at playing the text based "Colossal Cave Adventure" gave. Part of the problem was that I did not have computers that could run very fast so the delay between scenes got very annoying.
