TX GOPers have to yell and scream very loud to get through to him, though!!
Eta---Apologies to all for neglecting context.
Trump does not want to count undocumented residents when determining population. This would decrease population of state , so there would be fewer electoral votes. Unless TX turns blue, fewer electoral votes from TX means fewer votes for GOP candidate
Again, aplogies for omission.

It has been noted that this would reduce the population count in TX and thus would reduce the size of its congressional delegation. (And consequently its electoral college delegation size would also shrink. )
The OP points out that this is more likely to hurt the GOP than Democrats, and this might stop Donnie-two-scoops from enacting his dont count undocumented immigrants plan.
Am I guessing right, OP?
