One of my cats loooooves milk but, like most cats, hes lactose intolerant. I was thinking about getting some lactose-free milk so he can have a little nip a couple times a week. The smallest container is a half gallon, so it would be up to me to drink the rest. Im a big whole milk drinker and dont want no funky tasting milk, lol! How is the lactose-free stuff?

(1,970 posts)I drink lactose-free skim milk and it tastes like regular skim milk. I don't know about whole milk, but I think it will taste the same as regular.

Even though lactose-free milk contains lactase to aid the digestion of lactose, it boasts the same impressive nutrient profile as regular milk.
You might check with your cat's veterinarian to see if cats have any problems with lactose-free milk.
I've never given any of my cats milk, and they have never seemed to miss it.
