(17,025 posts)5 blueberry bushes. They didnt divert well this year but neither did anyone elses. I do t think we had enough chill hours.

I like to forage and have an eye for these. Late Aug and Sept. is when they are ripe.
Blueberries on the 4th have always been special! Enjoy!

(17,757 posts)My home is surrounded by wild Tall-Bush Blueberry bushes, must be thousands of them. They grow without my input; no fertilizers, no pesticides. My mouth stays blue from May until July. I can't go to the mailbox without picking and eating them. My dog strips the lower ones off the bush, she loves Blueberries and Blackberries. The last ones are still on the bushes, but they are about done, their ripening schedule has advanced about two weeks in the last 15 years.
