(3,636 posts)It's white, which definitely ID's it as a bald eagle. May be a juvenile, which could explain why it went after such an unlikely meal.

Juvenile (3-5 years? ) bald eagles lack tne white plumage on the head.

(3,636 posts)I think if it had the Osprey's white chest we would have seen that but maybe not. I still vote baldie simply because the thing caught a honking shark and is holding on to it. And they are known to fish. But yeah, maybe not for certain after all.
