I was having an emotional evening over our political nightmare. Sometimes it just gets to me and last night I succumbed. I’m feeling feisty this morning after a good nights sleep. Such a sad song though...

I was in a good mood for once and didn't want to trash it. I took the evening off from the political grind and hung out with some musicians who get together and jam, bluegrass mostly. I've decided that this year I'm going to get with a few music projects I've put off for decades and some of the folks at this event should be part of some of them. They are fun to plat with and are talented and skilled musicians, some in local popular bands. So I wasn't gonna blow that nice feeling of making music, it's very therapeutic... I don't engage enough and that ends this year, now that I have my personal life under control again.

I am glad it was just a short spell that came over you. Try taking a day off, do something that pleases you. It's all still going to be there when you get back. Right now it's a pissing match over rules, I can pass on that. But I will be watching the late night sessions as long as I can get live stream.

I'm gonna go rockhounding today because it's SO warm, 43F at 7am!

No thats a good way to spend a day. I’m envious! Would love to know what you find. I’m going to work today...was off yesterday because my kiddo was out of school preparing for his first experience with finals...he’s a freshman in HS. I’ll be checking in with DU and the news when I can...the convenient part of being self employed. Enjoy the warm temps and your day treasure hunting.

We aren't having winter so far, no snow, very little ice skirting the river banks... as long as it's not really windy, it''s be fun to comb some gravel bars for agates, petrified wood and fossils before it all gets covered up. But there might not be much run-off this spring unless we get a ton of snow and/or rain like last year.

Have a nice day at work. I'll be watching too but I need to get some stuff done before the world comes to a screeching halt again.

I sent it to my son, and now wish I hadn't. He and his father had a horrendous falling out several years ago, and the wounds have never healed. There are sometimes bigger monsters than death. I did let him know it was a trigger for him.
