Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsThanks to you who recommended Penzey's Spices a while back.
I just finished most of my Christmas shopping, especially for some usually difficult- to-buy for people.
Best of all, everything I put into my basket came out at half price.
I don't know why, but I don't think it's because I'm special!
Go have a look if you're still looking for gifts.

(23,307 posts)I used to buy from Penzeys regularly and fell off the wagon when our local organic grocery upped its bulk spice game with great selections and price point. Penzeys has really diversified itself as the years have gone by and theyve got no love for the MF squatting in the peoples house. Bookmarking this to button up some holiday shopping Ive got left to do.

(5,477 posts)Great spices and blends (my spice rack is probably 95% Penzey's) from a totally socially conscious company.
Make sure you also get on their email list - they send out some extremely good deals, usually along with a strong message about the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Their web site also has some really good recipes and ideas.
Been using them for many years, ever since a friend gave me a sort of housewarming gift box when I moved to Seattle in 1992. Been using their stuff ever since.
There is also a good fan page on Facebook where folks swap ideas and recipes. (Hint: Sunny Paris on fried eggs is absolutely divine, and brings them to a totally new level!)
