a few weeks ago and they said she's stand in until he returned. The program finally caught up with the news.

Pat for 37 years. In fact, it seemed like she was for a time with her "deer in the headlights" look. IMO, she looked and sounded terrified.

Also, tonight's show really highlighted how useless Vanna's "real" job is on a nightly basis. Ol' Minnie never left her corner to "turn" the letters which highlights that Vanna doesn't need to do so either. Good for her, though...$10M/year for doing something that doesn't need to be done, and for having no personality to do it with!

I, for one, can't wait for Pat to be back, and I hope he returns with renewed spirit and energy. Sadly, after all these years, he too seems a bit bored or tired of the same old, same old every day.

It's still a decent half hour, though, and a good lead in to Jeopardy!.
