3. like most raptors, we rarely get to see them up close.

after seeing them through binoculars, high on thermals, or high up in trees, seeing them face to face is a shock.
took a cruise to alaska, and at the port in bc, where the fishing boats docked, they were like pigeons. everywhere. hundreds. begging.
it was a really awesome trip.
