It’s deciduous so it gives me seasons and colors and I’ve painted it a number of times depicting it in every season and in snow. I’ve photographed it endlessly. I love this tree!

I don't know how often you get snow in Santa Fe. But I love your photo the light and dark it is just beautiful.
We expect snow sometime in the coming week in my area but that is normal but my pictures never look that good.

I used flash then I adjusted the contrast and light/dark manipulation and converted it into silvertone all on my iPad. I used to have a Minolta decades ago so I have a bit of practice on manipulation things like exposure, etc.

Had a getaway planned to Santa Fe back in September including a walking architectural tour and a vegan meal at Pasquale’s. Unfortunately I broke my foot and couldn’t join my friends there. They had a wonderful time and I hope to go next year 🙂

There is nothing like the architecture in Santa Fe and Taos in the old parts of the towns. They’re great tourist destinations! I moved here from the Bay Area because I retired from UC Berkeley and I love it! The skies here are incredible too. I photograph and paint them too.

I was wondering if they hibernate. He brought in a large grasshopper too.

Is it snowing there?
