Had a dog that if you wanted it to lay down in the family room you'd tell her to get in the kitchen. dem4decades Aug 2019 #2

become completely limp. He weighed about 80 pounds, so was not easy getting him up and into the tub.

It's not so easy to get her leashed as she can run all over the 2 acres and I'm too old to chase her down. Of course she knows this and takes full advantage. Otherwise, she's well trained and in most things she's very obedient, not a feat that this breed is known for.

Likewise, she will turn down treats to stay outside and not come in until she's ready to call it a day.

He simply melts into the ground if he doesn't want to go someplace. He pays no attention to treats if he doesn't want to do something.

We took him to dog school and he spent most of the time lying on his side on the floor watching the other dogs.

He knows everything the rest of our dogs do, it's just that most of the time he doesn't feel like doing them.
