Barry Weiss took a drum set to a musician who use to play for the Police to get an appraisal on the resell value. He had bid $1500 on the storage unit and the drum set was the only thing worth selling. Well, The guy, who I think was called Stewart, said he could get $1000 for it. So Barry tells him that he knew how to jack the price up and encouraged the guy to sign the drum set. So he did.
Now, when Barry Weiss sells that drum set, wouldn't it be considered fraudulent if he misleads the buyer into thinking that the drum set originally belonged to the Police guy?

(4,340 posts)1. Barry's a collector
He doesn't sell any of the stuff he likes. (But, if he claims that the drums are only signed by Stewart Copeland of The Police, it doesn't sound like fraud to me.)
